US and Ugandan government policies have caused a dramatic 10-month long condom shortage in Uganda, the African country best known for its successful HIV prevention efforts. 32 million condoms remain locked up in Uganda's governmental warehouses while the US government ramps-up abstinence-only prevention programs.
